Sergey Kondratiev, Deputy Head of the Economic Department at the Institute for Energy and Finance, gave a comment to the radio station Sputnik Litva about electricity prices in the Baltic countries.
On the NordPool exchange, the price of electricity for the week (March 8-14) increased by six percent - to 35.76 euros per megawatt-hour. The cost has decreased in all three Baltic countries.
In the interview with Sputnik Litva, a senior expert of the Institute forf Energy and Finance, Sergei Kondratiev, emphasized that the Baltic states still have the advantage that electricity can be obtained from various sources, which they will lose while leaving BRELL.Electricity price fluctuations for residents of the Baltic republics are much more sensitive than for other Nordic countries, Sergei Kondratiev said.
