The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) is an independent, international research institute, founded in 1972 jointly by representatives of the Soviet Union and the United States to promote East-West scientific cooperation during the Cold War. IIASA is of the most reputable scientific organizations in its field. It is located in the suburbs of Vienna (Austria). FIEF has many years of experience in scientific cooperation with IIASA on a wide range of issues, mainly related to predictive modeling of energy markets.
