The issues of adapting the economy and, in particular, the energy industry of Russia to the «energy transition», international climate policy (including tightening requirements for the hydrocarbon business from regulators, lenders and investors) and to growing demands of low-carbon development are among the most controversial, painful and complicated, both from a practical and scientific point of view, for everyone involved in the Russian economy.

In recent years, FIEF has been actively engaged in the problem of «low-carbon» Russia, especially in terms of the impact of the above factors on the oil industry and Russian gas exports to the EU countries.
