Alexey Belogoryev, Research and Development Director of the Institute for Energy and Finance, commented to TASS on the factors influencing the current dynamics of world oil prices.
Brent crude oil prices will continue to decline without reaching agreements on tariffs and may drop to $50 per barrel or even lower, in the case of tariff decisions they will return to the range of $ 60-70, Alexei Belogoryev said.
Nevertheless, according to the expert, the prospects for a recovery growth above $ 70, even with the solution of tariff problems, are doubtful."It all depends on the intensity and nature of the trade war, or more precisely, on how quickly real tariff agreements will appear that can stop it. While they are not there, prices may well slide to $50 per barrel and even try to break through it. If the trade war can be quickly extinguished, prices will return to the range of $60-70 per barrel," he told TASS.
