How the oil and gas industry had been ready for the events of 2022

The RTVI online magazine published an author's column by Alexey Belogoryev, Deputy Principal Director on Energy Studies of the Institute for Energy and Finance, titled as "Oil and Gas Special Operation: Why Europe Hasn't Frozen" (the title is editorial and was not agreed with the author).

Since the end of February 2022, the Russian oil and gas industry has been under constant pressure. If initially even Europe itself assumed that the process of abandoning Russian hydrocarbons would drag on for several years, then by mid-autumn it became clear that European countries had practically managed to get rid of total dependence on Russian oil and gas. Alexey Belogoryev told RTVI about how events have developed in the oil and gas industry since the start of Russia's military operation in Ukraine and what to expect in the future.
