Alexey Belogoryev, Research and Development Director of the Institute for Energy and Finance, commented to TASS on the proposed sale of LUKOIL's foreign assets to the Carlyle investment fund.

The cost of the deal for the purchase of Lukoil's foreign assets by the American Carlyle may be about $10-15 billion, but the total amount will depend on other equally important terms of the agreement. This assessment was voiced to TASS by Alexey Belogoryev.

"As for the value, excluding Kazakhstani assets, I think we are talking about an amount between 10 and 15 billion dollars. But depending on other conditions, it can vary quite a lot," he said.

According to the expert, the question is whether the Russian company will have access to the funds received as a result of the sale, or they will be accumulated in a special account, as well as the possibility of asset repurchase.
