Sergei Kondratiev, Deputy Head of the Economic Department commented to the Izvestia newspaper on the depreciation of the power grid fixed assets in Russia.

Sergey Kondratyev, Deputy Head of the Economic Department of the Institute for Energy and Finance, noted that the situation in the Far East, the North Caucasus and the Volga region remains relatively difficult.

“In such regions, they often talk about depreciation of 70–80%, but we are talking about wear and tear according to accounting rules, this indicator does not reflect the real condition of the equipment, but current estimates of the company funds value',” he said.
