Marcel Salikhov, President of the Institute for Energy and Finance, gave a comment to the newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed on completing the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
Marcel Salikhov believes that the operation of the Nord Stream 2 project will be in the interests of Russia and Europe, expecting that in the coming years Germany will become the main gas complex on the old continent after the Netherlands.
"As a result of the US sanctions and the refusal of foreign shareholders to bear the risks of financing the project, Gazprom will actually bear the full costs of the project," - Salikhov said in an interview with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.
