OPEC+ will maintain a pause in increasing oil production

Alexey Belogoryev, Research and Development Director of the Institute for Energy and Finance, commented on the expected steps of OPEC+ in the 1st half of 2026 to RIA Novosti and the Prime news agency.

According to Belogoryev, expectations from the March meeting are contradictory.

"If the geopolitical background calms down, then I would proceed from the resumption of smooth OPEC+ production growth starting from May-June. In any case, the steps taken by OPEC+ in 2026 will be significantly more cautious than a year earlier," he said.
