Marcel Salikhov, President of the Institute for Energy and Finance, commented to Svpressa.ru on what should be Russia's response to Western sanctions.
According to Marcel Salikhov, Russia's response to Western sanctions must be mandatory. “The main priority should be economic tasks. The logic of “answer in order to answer” seems rather strange to me,” the expert believes.
He notes that now there is an unprecedented economic pressure on our country. However, in such a situation, the authorities need to take all measures so that the well-being of Russians does not suffer.
“First of all, government measures should be aimed at both supporting the domestic economy and supporting citizens' incomes. This could be a worthy response to Western sanctions. And to try to do something to strike back, in my opinion, it would be strange,” - the President of the Institute for Energy and Finance is sure.
