Alexey Belogoryev, Research and Development Director of the Institute for Energy and Finance, commented to Rossiyskaya Gazeta on the dynamics and economic feasibility of social gasification and additional gasification in Russia.
The gasification program solves a social problem, Alexey Belogoryev notes.
However, according to him, additional gasification also has economic value."This is mainly done for the sake of providing the population with reliable, uninterrupted energy supply at reasonable prices. Gas in Russia is relatively cheap, and at the same time it is more environmentally friendly than diesel fuel or coal," the expert explained.
Plus one percent per year is a good rate, the analyst believes. According to him, the gasification of new areas and facilities today is mostly not commercial projects, but the implementation of the state's social policy to improve the living conditions of the population."Previously, it turned out that Gazprom invested a lot of money in the construction of infrastructure, and gas consumption was much lower than expected, since many households could not connect it. And the investments took a long time to return. Therefore, the more consumers are connected to gas, the better it will be for everyone," Alexey Belogoryev is convinced.
"We are mainly talking about small settlements, gardening associations, etc. As a rule, there are no large industrial consumers there to ensure a constant workload and significant payments," the expert explained.
