Gas prices fell till exports

Marcel Salikhov, President of the Institute for Energy and Finance, commented to the Kommersant newspaper on the Russian gas supplies to the EU.

In January, spot gas prices in the EU decreased by about 50%, Marcel Salikhov recalls. According to him, in January the difference between the current prices and the prices in Gazprom's contracts reached 20-30%.

"However, in February, the effect of this factor will cease if spot prices remain at current levels," he believes.
