Moscow, MIA Russia Today, December 06 — The Institute for Energy and Finance (IEF) together with the Business Russia Committee on CIS Affairs and the Development of Eurasian Integration organized the Roundtable «Effects from the formation of common EAEU energy markets: business opportunities» within the framework of 4th Eurasian Economic Congress.
On behalf of the IEF the Round table was attended by Alexey Belogoryev, Deputy Principal Director on Energy Studies, who also spoke within the discussion.
The following issues were discussed at the Round Table:
- prospects for formation of the EAEU common energy markets (common gas market, common market for oil and oil products, common electricity market). Economic effects for business;
- feasibility of further expanding the EAEU common energy policy, including the areas of energy conservation, energy efficiency, use and production of renewable energy sources;
- prospects for creating the EAEU common exchange platform for trade in energy resources. Liberalization of pricing at the EAEU energy markets.
The round table was attended by representatives of the business of Russia and the EAEU, public and scientific organizations, representatives of the executive and legislative authorities.
