The Energy Policy magazine (No.11 (190), November 2023), issued by the Russian Ministry of Energy, published an article "The prospects for Russian gas exports" by Alexey Belogoryev, Research and Development Director of the Institute for Energy and Finance.
Despite the dramatic decline in supplies to the European market in 2022-2023 and sanctions restrictions, Russian natural gas remains in demand in the world and retains the potential to restore exports in the long term. However, this will not be an easy or fast way, and the role of gas exports in the overall development strategy of the Russian gas industry will obviously require a deep rethink.
