Alexey Belogoryev, Deputy Principal Director on Energy Studies of the Institute for Energy and Finance, gave an interview to Svobodnaya Pressa about the prospects, mechanisms and risks of imposing cap prices on Russian oil and gas.
Alexey Belogoryev told SP that, if desired, the United States could indeed try to force the countries of the world to buy Russian oil at a fixed price. But, paradoxically, this can lead to an even greater increase in the cost of "black gold" in the world. As for gas, here the games are fraught for the Europeans with a complete cessation of supplies.
