Alexander Titov, Senior expert at the Energy Department of the Institute for Energy and Finance, gave a comment to the newspaper Kommersant about coal transshipment at the port of Lavna.
Alexander Titov believes that coal shipped through Lavna is being shipped to Turkey.
In addition, he continues, if Lavna and the Power of Siberia are affiliated, then the transshipment rate should be comfortable, which will also support the profitability of exports."In the first quarter, the Power of Siberia exported coal through the Murmansk Commercial Seaport and even through Ust-Luga, and from there a significant part of these volumes went to Turkey, therefore, such supplies may well be profitable. The logistical distance is relatively short when compared with alternative shipments to India and China from Baltic ports", the expert explains.
