On December 17, 2009, for the first time in the history of nuclear energy, Russian nuclear power plants (branches of Rosenergoatom Concern), despite the crisis, reached a record total capacity of 22,700 MW (with the installed capacity of Rosenergoatom NPPs — 23,242 MW), that is, the installed capacity utilization rate (ICUF) exceeded 97%.
