Sergey Kondratiev, Principal Director on Economic Studies at the Institute for Energy and Finance, made a comment to the Nakanune news agency on the hydrogen production growth in Russia.
The Ministry of Economic Development has announced ambitious plans to occupy 20% of the global hydrogen market by 2030.
However, according to Sergey Kondratiev, Russia does not yet have such technologies to make hydrogen production cheap enough. And the demand for it is not very great, at least in industry it will not find mass use yet.
