I would award Rosatom's participation in the French “Big Renovation” with “Surprise of the Year”

Sergey Kondratiev, Deputy Head of the Economic Department of the Institute for Energy and Finance gave comments to the Internet portal Polit.ru about developing the business of the State Corporation Rosatom in the EU:

«…As to «the Big Renovation», which we are planning to do with France (modernization of French nuclear power plants — ed.), no doubt I would have awarded the category «Surprise of the Year». The fact is that historically we are accustomed to that the French had their own high level of competence. For this reason, the French nuclear power industry was quite closed from external suppliers. If Rosatom manages to gain a foothold in the French market (this is currently the largest market in Europe, one of the largest included in the top 5 markets in the world), this could be a serious opportunity for the state corporation to increase revenue in the European direction. «
