Gas in a package with the integration promises

The Belrynok portal published a comment by Sergei Kondratiev, Deputy Head of the FIEF Economic Department, on pricing Russian gas for Belarus.

Sergey Kondratiev, Deputy Head of the Economic Department of the Russian Institute for Energy and Finance, believes that Belarus and Gazprom may abandon the fixed gas price when signing an agreement on the terms of gas supply for 2021 and switch to formula pricing.

“The key question here is how both Russia and the Republic of Belarus look at the situation on the European market. Will the prices on it remain at a sufficiently low level, as well as at what point this agreement will be concluded," Kondratiev said in an interview with the portal Eurasia Expert.
