Deputy Head of the Economic Department Sergei Kondratiev commented to the Belarusian internet portal Prime Press on the possible price of Russian gas for Belarus in 2021.

Belarus and Russia's Gazprom may abandon the fixed gas price upon signing an agreement on the terms of gas supply for 2021 and switch to formula pricing. This opinion was expressed by Sergey Kondratiev, Deputy Head of the Economic Department of the Institute for Energy and Finance.

“If we talk about conclusion of an agreement (on the terms of gas supply to Belarus - ed.) for the next year, the key question here is how both Russia and the Republic of Belarus look at the situation on the European market. Will the prices on it remain at a sufficiently low level, as well as at what point this agreement will be concluded,” Kondratiev said in the interview with the “Eurasia. Expert” portal.
