The Energy Policy magazine of the Ministry of Energy of Russia (No. 9 (163), September 2021, p 24-41) published an article by Aleksey Belogoryev, Deputy Principal Director on Energy Studies at the Institute for Energy and Finance, “Japan's Energy Policy: Between Inertia and Breakthrough”.

The article examines the current changes in Japan’s energy policy related to the implementation of the new state low-carbon strategy announced in 2020-2021. The author assesses the compliance of the goals with the observed and forecast trends in Japan’s energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
