Alexey Gromov, Principal Director on Energy studies at the Institute for Energy and Finance, commented to the magazine "Energy Policy" on the possible impact of Kamala Harris's coming to power in the United States on the global energy sector.
According to Alexey Gromov, if K. Harris is elected, American oil and gas should not expect an "easy life".
"K. Harris is a supporter of the proactive climate policy of the United States and is known for her fight against American oil companies, up to the initiation of a ban on hydraulic fracturing at the federal level," he noted.
"I do not rule out the return of the US restraining policy towards the development of this sector, which will lead to its stagnation, and in the future - a reduction in American oil production," the expert added.
