Sergey Agibalov, Head of the Sector «Economics and Finance» of the Economic Department of the Institute for Energy and Finance commented to Fontanka.fi on the issue of Gazprom’s sale of a stake in Finnish Gasum and further prospects for cooperation between Russia and Finland in the gas sector:
" To some extent, this is a forced decision for a Russian company at the suggestion of the Finnish authorities," Sergey Agibalov commented to Fontanke.fi. " Most likely, Gazprom would prefer to keep its share: in any case, this is an infrastructure business with little risks, where everything is fine and it is going well. Gazprom does not like to part with assets at all. For example, it left the Lithuanian company practically against his will ".
